Where opportunity awaits
As the largest city in New Mexico and a booming magnet for businesses—not to mention one of the Top Cities for 20-Somethings—Albuquerque boasts a high quality of life and low cost of living that appeals to families and singles alike. But that’s just the beginning. Fresh air, 310 spectacular days of sunshine and abundant outdoor recreation makes Albuquerque exceptional.
As one of Fidelity’s top growth sites, our Albuquerque office is nestled in Mesa del Sol, a 12,900-acre environmentally sustainable development that includes homes, shops, workplaces, parks and schools. Seamlessly merging panoramic views with convenient amenities and outdoor recreation, you can take advantage of a full cafeteria, fitness center equipped with weight resistance machines, cardio equipment, group exercise classes, and showers, preferred parking spaces for hybrid cars, bike storage/changing rooms, an outdoor patio and walking trails at our Albuquerque office.
Where things are going on
Rich with heritage, Albuquerque weaves a colorful tapestry of multi-ethnic cultures, awe-inspiring landscape and vibrant energy in an authentic Southwestern city. Whether you want to take a hot-air balloon flight over the scenic Rio Grande, travel the famed Route 66 or catch stunning views aboard the Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, there’s always an abundance of outdoor activities waiting to be explored from our Albuquerque office. Rated one of the 25 Fittest Cities, you can blaze trails all year round—whether it be by foot, bike skis or biking, hiking, skiing or horseback. Prefer the indoors? Home to more than 100 galleries and studios, Albuquerque offers a variety of fine art, authentic Southwestern jewelry, pottery, and contemporary art to satisfy any taste. No matter what you want to see or do, Albuquerque offers something for everyone.
Where community matters
With a long tradition of community service in the neighborhoods where we work and live, Fidelity is committed to making a difference in the Albuquerque area. The Fidelity Cares® program brings this to life with a primary focus on employee volunteer opportunities that help provide students and families with an educational foundation to attain personal and financial success. With this unwavering commitment to education, Fidelity Investments solely created Heroes in Education, a program to honor the “unsung” heroes of the community who have made an improvement in the academic success of the city’s students.
Employees at our Albuquerque office have dedicated their time to support a local organization that donates clothes and supplies to students in need at Albuquerque Public Schools and have also volunteered for a wide range of organizations, including the APS Education Foundation, Citizen Schools, and Junior Achievement.
Note of distinction: Recognized for her volunteer efforts, Yvonna Yeadon-Lando—our top volunteer for 2012—received a recognition award from the city Mayor and the bronze volunteer award from President Obama.
